PRIMER is pleased to announce our participation in the upcoming Delicious Corsets "Corsets for a Cure" exhibit and fundraiser this Friday, February 1st, at the Tower Gallery in the Northern Liberties area of Philadelphia. It's free and open to the public! And we'd like you to join us there!
PRIMER is a small boutique design agency comprised of two ne'erdowells - Brian Isserman and Lawrence O'Toole - who are known for their top-notch creative work and penchant for wearing black. We founded our agency in the spring of 2005 and have been purveying our own brand of awesome ever since. More about us and our work can be found here.
What's This All About?
The Idea. Delicious Corsets, exquisite custom corset-makers, provided plain white corsets to be used as a blank canvas to local and national artists in September of 2007. The show includes unique corsets decorated, painted, sewn, illustrated, etc, by 18 artists, including PRIMER.
The Cause. Each piece will be auctioned off to benefit the Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization that specializes in breast cancer education, early detection and support. Also, there will be a raffle to benefit the family of Andrea Collins-Smith, a long time friend of Delicious and punk-rock mommy of six, who has recently been diagnosed with a rare aggressive breast cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer.

Many of the artists (including PRIMER) will be in attendance to talk about their work and involvement in this important project.
The corset auction runs February 1- 29th, 2008. The exhibit will conclude on leap-day, February 29th, with a closing reception where the winning bidders will walk off with their one-of-a-kind hand-crafted corsets!
